On October 13th, EU Environment Ministers will meet in Brussels to reach an agreement on the revision of the EU’s cornerstone tool to implement the Paris Agreement: the Effort Sharing Regulation (ESR).
EU member states may talk a good game on climate, but behind closed doors government representatives are doing as much as they can to ensure their country avoids taking real action. Can a German-French tandem save the European climate policy from redundancy?
To make sure you have all the information about the state of play of the negotiations at your fingertips, we invite you to join our press briefing. Our speakers will provide you with an in-depth analysis of the EU countries positions and the likely outcomes of the Environment Council.
You can join the briefing in person or online at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/216155765with a possibility to ask questions directly or through a chat box. The briefing will be recorded and available at www.caneurope.org.
